About us
My journey with working Field Trial Labradors began in 2009 with the import of Blackthorn Giansar 'Gori' from Hungary. It was with him that I discovered the true beauty and potential of this type of retriever.
My breeding goal is to produce dogs that are easy to live with—dogs that are, above all, reliable companions for everyday life, as well as high-performing partners for breed-specific work and modern dog sports.
In addition to breeding, I focus on training all retriever breeds. My approach is centered on harnessing their natural instincts without the use of 'parforce' methods. I believe in a training style that respects the dog's talent and builds a strong bond between the dog and the owner.

These dogs are mainly bred for their natural ability and performance. As a result, they have a lighter body structure than the classic Labrador. The typical working Labrador is extremely trainable and works primarily for the pleasure of working with its owner. There is an expression in English for this characteristic: 'will to please'. These dogs are easily motivated by play or treats. Their temperament should be balanced; dogs should not be overly active or excited, but neither lethargic. They are highly valued for their working style (especially game finding), drive, willingness to work with game, ability to mark, and a soft mouth. All this makes the field trial Labrador a great dog for working with small game. However, they also find their use in sports such as Working Tests, Obedience, and Rescue, or within the emergency services and detection work. They are much more fixated on their owner and family than on other people and dogs. Therefore, they can sometimes appear more introverted to others than a classic Labrador.

I have been interested in dogs and their training since childhood. Since 2010, I have been competing with my working Labradors in the highest classes of Working Tests and International Field Trials. All of my previous bitches have been awarded the 'Excellent' qualification, and one of them achieved the highest title, Int. FTCh (International Field Trial Champion).
I have represented the Czech Republic several times at the IWT (International Working Test).
I gained my knowledge and skills in retriever training primarily from trainers and judges from Great Britain and mainland Europe. I continue to participate in training sessions with renowned foreign trainers every year.
My breeding journey began in 2013 with a litter of working Labradors under my ex-husband's kennel, Dark Lavondyss. My own FCI-registered kennel is now called Field Edition.
I have been working in the pet supplies sector since 2011. Since 2022, I have been the exclusive distributor for the Dog & Field brand, specializing in gundog training equipment, for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
My friend Andrea Šimoníková and I have shared our expertise in two books published in Czech: Retriever Training – Inspiration for Building the Basics and Retriever Training – Preparing a Puppy. Both books are available in our e-shop (in Czech only)."

I have always enjoyed the character of retrievers and their willingness to work. My first Labrador joined me as a buddy and family dog. After his sudden departure, I became excited about working Labradors and so began my life with Max. At the beginning of our life together I had no experience with working retrievers but I knew it would be my destiny hobby. With Max, I have been through just about every training problem you can imagine since the beginning. But thanks to my endurance and methodical trainings that I learned not only from Czech but also from foreign top trainers, we successfully passed them. I went from a series of setbacks to several victories in the highest Open class. Sport has made me learn to accept defeat and victory with humility and to keep trying to improve. I am happy to help train all beginners and advanced dogs interested in this great activity with retrievers.
