Arapaho Star Lavondyss

Mona was born in the Dark Lavondyss kennel, owned by my ex-husband Martin. Her dam was Conneywarren Cody, a female we imported from England, with whom I first experienced the thrill of hunting days and later field trials. Mona’s sire was the legendary Int. FTCh Blackthorn Biham 'Viky', a pioneer of modern Field Trial Labradors in the Czech Republic. In 2015, he made history as the first-ever Czech dog to win the prestigious ICC (now the European Championship).

Since she was a puppy, Mona has been a quirky and spirited personality with exceptional drive and style. She was a dog that never let me get away with a mistake, but training and competing with her was an incredible journey that gave me invaluable experience. Together, we traveled to numerous trials across Central Europe and proudly represented the Czech Republic at the IWT in 2018. In 2019, we reached the top level, achieving all qualifications for the Int. FTCh title. We only missed the official confirmation due to the lack of an international show grade, as I chose not to attend shows during the Covid period.

Mona comes from an extraordinary litter where 3 out of 7 dogs achieved the FTCh title—a remarkable breeding success. Mona had only one litter, which produced 'Penny' (Dol Blathanna Dark Lavondyss).
